The enduring battles of the handhelds is still ongoing, with the Nintendo 3DS going up the ranking against the mighty PSP Vita. According to the latest sales figures, the Playstation Vita has only sold 72,479 copies in Japan past week.
This is rather alarming, as Sony has been usually always strong with their launch titles and console. Two weeks after the launch, Nintendo little baby, the 3DS, has sold over 482’200 units.
With Nintendo holiday titles out in the market, including Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, this was a perfect move from the big N to prove they can make it after their relatively low sales figures back in the summer.

The Vita however might go back on track with the European and North American launch coming, with Uncharted: Golden Abyss, WipEout 2048, Reality Fighters, Little Deviants, ModNation Racers: Road Trip and MotorStorm RC among others. The Vita bundle release on February 22-24.
What do you think guys? Who’s getting a Vita at launch? Who’s happy with their 3DS? You know where to shout it, it’s right down below.
