In case you missed the original Borderland, then you should be ashamed of yourself. Gearbox Software are known for their work on the Brothers in Arms and Half-Life series, and this year they are bringing three intense new titles, including Borderland 2.
While the main story is still hidden deep in the studios of Gearbox Software, rest-assured, you will return to the terrifying planet of Pandora. From the latest demos and screenshots of the game, Pandora seems vaster and richer than before.

No longer will you roam endless deserts, like in its predecessor, Borderlands 2 environments range from endless green plains to chilly cold mountains. And with the power of Unreal Engine 3, the cell-shading visuals seems to be more lively and colorful than the first Borderland.

As for characters, you might’ve noticed from the images a new guy. He’s strange, he looks weird, he can carry two guns, meet the Gunzerker: A new character class added to the game, an overpowered midget with the ability to dual-wield any weapons (for a limited time, of course), combining heavy damage and some special effects.

In the end, if Gearbox can deliver the same cartoonish-goofy story, adding new AI improvements, more guns, and upgraded skill sets, then my friends, we’re totally in.
Borderlands 2 is set to be released this year on Xbox 360 and PS3, and early 2013 on PC.
