Renowned
for being the best gaming market research source, MCV recently unveiled some juicy rumors about the upcoming next generation
consoles
launch. With E3 coming
right around the corner
, MCV reports that both Microsoft and Sony’s new consoles will be at the LA show.
MCV’s source seems to be accurate
even though it hasn't mentioned
any names
; though
it would be perfect timing for
both big titans
to
make such an
announcement. With Nintendo’s Wii U set to be fully operational for demonstrating its capacity at E3, both an Xbox 360 or PS4 showcase would take over the hype from the big N.
Surprisingly
, Sony had
previously
stated that the
Playstation 3’s life cycle is a ten-year plan, so this must be a counter-attack move to rumors that Microsoft warned its partners about its next generation plans.
If you ask me, it’s
about time, since the Xbox 360 is the longest serving console of all time (released in 2005) and
there are
a lot of features and improvements
still
to be done before leaving the throne, as
we've previously discussed in our earlier article about the subject.
What do you think guys? Are we going to see new consoles from Sony and Microsoft this year?
