Excited for Halo 4? You’d better be. After the last images
that were leaked, and the developer video diary featured in our previous piece, the upcoming Halo looks like
343 Industries know what they are doing. So I guess you guys are waiting for
the demo or the Beta, right? Well, I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news,
fellow Spartans.

It’s in the latest Halo Bulletin, on the game’s official
site, that 343 Industries had an interesting Q&A session with the fans. One
of the gamers asked about the possibility of a public multiplayer Beta, as with
Halo 3 and Halo: Reach. Sadly the developers’ answer was not what we expected.

“While we are testing Halo 4 code, gameplay, and systems at
significant scale to get excellent data, input, and feedback, we are focused on
polishing and shipping our experience for the duration of the year, and
splitting resources to manage and build a beta is not on our schedule.”

In response to the issue Microsoft actually said that they “plan to
test both gameplay and code features rigorously and at a meaningful scale
throughout the course of 2012 to ensure a great experience at launch, but we
have no plans for a public multiplayer beta for Halo 4."
What do you think guys? Isn’t Beta testing the perfect way
to find flaws in a game? Let us know in the comment box below.
