Guess Nintendo couldn’t wait any longer, and went on to announce couple of new incoming features and releases before this year’s E3 2012. It’s via Nintendo Direct that Satoru Iwata – Nintendo of Japan current President – addressed the fans on live streaming.
So fans of the mighty plumber say hello to the new side-scrolling Mario game: New Super Mario Bros. 2. A direct sequel to previous Nintendo DS’ hit New Super Mario Bros., the game will include everyone’s favorite Power Leaf suit from Super Mario Bros. 3 to make their Mario fly.
In other news, the Nintendo 3DS is bound to receive two new features via a system update soon. The first one is the ability to create folders, holding up to 60 programs to remove the clutter on the main menu. The second and most important is the ability to patch 3DS retail games, a technology Nintendo never did before. That’s all for now, tune in soon as we get more information on our monthly edition of the Nintendo Reports.
