Over the past year, Battlefield 3 has been head to head
against their biggest competitor: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Things are not
cooling off for both, but to us, that competition is in our favor, as we will
get more content and features as they are trying to grab as much of us in their
ranks. Through this effort, EA decided to respond to Call of Duty Elite by
offering us their own version: Battlefield 3 Premium. So what is it all about
and why should it matter to you?

EA in general were never known to produce much additional
content, and as you can remember in previous Battlefield titles, only a handful
of additional content were offered. Battlefield 3 Premium marks the start of
the company to feed their fans with a heavy load of extra content during a
timeline of a year.
So why go for Battlefield 3 Premium? Well, if you do the
math and calculate all the expansion packs that are – and will be – available
for the game, you will notice that if purchased individually, you end up paying
a hefty 75$, instead of 50$ for Battlefield 3 Premium.

Nevertheless if money is not an issue, then maybe the VIP
content might push you to go for it. Between getting two weeks early access to
Battlefield 3 Close Quarters, Armored Kill, End Game and the newly announced
Aftermath (which I think is enough to make your mind), you will get stats reset
feature, increased Platoon emblem layers and ten extra unique Platoon emblem
decals for Battlelog.

So you ask me, is that it? Not really. Battlefield 3 Premium
will give you VIP status among the soldiers on the field, with a unique
takedown knife, dog tags, uniform and weapon camos, extra assignments, and most
importantly you will get priority to enter a server queue and double XP events. So now when you're competing in our Battlefield 3 Global Rush Online Competition, you stand out in both style and kill count.
Battlefield 3 Premium is available as we speak for PC via
Origin, for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Tune in soon, as we bring you more
information on Battlefield 3, with tips, tricks, weapon and maps tutorials.
