In an effort to please the professional players, Battlefield 3 is taking one step closer to the e-Sports scenes, with the upcoming release of a new feature: Matches.

An "option" that will – Freaking finally – allow players to create multiplayer games, between friends or teams, in a competitive and organized environment, and here’s the best part: directly from Battlelog.

Matches allow the player to adjust the parameters of the map (as you could on some extent during server creation), time limit, which server used, the roster of both teams and other parameters of the map.

Some of the interesting options range from friendly fire or the ability to limit revives to only squad leaders or even block certain attachments. For us, as long as fans don’t abuse this – read the Death of Battlefield 3 – this might actually be a good step from EA and Dice. No release dates has yet been reported, so enjoy the few screenshots as the moments.
