Despite the announcement of Battlefield 4, DICE shows once
again that they didn’t forget their Battlefield 3 fans, and after showing off Armored Kill, they now reveal the first
details on the fourth upcoming DLC called Aftermath.
We have just learned that the four upcoming maps would send
players back in the heart of Tehran, just after the earthquake that fell in the
single player campaign. The official Battlefield site describes Aftermath as “a
continuing struggle for supremacy and survival amongst the devastation.”
Dice also mention that Aftermath will of course add assignments,
achievements and dog tags, as well as new heavily modified military and
civilian vehicles. Certain game modes are going to be added to the game’s list,
but no extra details were given out.
Battlefield 3’s Aftermath DLC is expected to launch in
December, and as with all Battlefield 3 downloadable content, it will arrive one
week early on PlayStation 3, and two weeks earlier for Battlefield 3 Premium subscribers.
