Any Rally fans around here? I’m sure you guys are hiding in
the back. Ever since Codemasters turned
the Dirt franchise into a destruction derby (Dirt Showdown), we are lacking of real rally
simulation games in the business. Well, here comes your savior, WRC 3.
World Rally Championship 3 will be the new rally game made by Milestone, which is obviously the same developer responsible versions of the
original WRC and WRC 2. That last one was released in October last year, and if
it was lacking graphically, the gameplay was increased significantly, providing
great sensations of reality.
And it is this accuracy of rally driving, that is always
difficult to transcribe, because of all of the factors that change the course
of track, from drifting on mud, to zigzagging down the snowy alps.
To appeal more to newcomers, the developers have changed
their game engine, opting for a sharper one, with better physical interactions
and effects, ranging from dust particle, realistic movements, and even the
crowd.
With an updated roster of fifty teams in the game, with of
course all drivers of the 2012 season, we should welcome back the good ol’ days
of rally simulation. WRC 3 should come at the end of the year, in October, on
PC, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and even on the Vita.
