Round 5 of our Battlefield 3: Global Rush Tournament ended last week. With the end of this round, we have now a new top 8 players from all around the Middle East, including a couple of familiar faces and some new ones. With the announcement of our new set of winners, we also have a new rules catered for the holy month of Ramadan.The end of this round also marks the end of our "Open" format. This means that after this round is over, we will no longer be accepting new entries into our Battlefield 3: Global Rush Online Tournament.
Beginning from Wednesday, August 8th, the Battlefield 3: Global Rush Online Tournament will begin at 10:00 pm(GMT+3) and will count a total of 20 hours of gameplay per week.
Starting Round 7 - which will be held between September 5th and September 22nd - we will only qualify the best 500 players from all the previous rounds of our Battlefield 3 Global Rush Online Tournament.
The upcoming Round 6 will be your last chance to make it into the Qualifying Rounds, so make sure you give everything you have. This is your last chance to make it into the elite battalion soldier!
The 500 players will be picked according to these specific requirements:
- They must have placed in the top 50 of any of the past Rounds
- They must have played all the past Rounds in an honest and clean manner
- No cheaters or boosters will make it into the Qualifying Rounds
As for our Round 5 winners, we are glad to introduce to you our new champions, beginning with the top player from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, XHY6 on the Console ladder and Tornado130 on the PC. XHY6 is predominately an Assault/Medic player, with a record of 4778 kills in Week 1, he is known to be a master shotgun player, including the newly released Spas-12 – from the Close Quarters DLC – M26 Mass and the iconic USAS-12.
As for Tornado130, the PC leader from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, this player finished with a high score of 2754 kills in Week 3 . Tornado130's favorite class seems to be the Assault/Medic class with a total of 39 service stars. His top weapon is the M16A4 Assault Rifle, with a tremendous 27,564 kills score. His next weapon of choice is the Type 88 LMG and the well-known Russian LMG PKP Pecheneg.
The top players from Egypt are AhmedMahmoud on the Console ladder and AhmedAdel on the PC ladder. AhmedMahmoud finished Week 1 with 3005 kills. He seems to favor the quick action MP7 with a total of 2183 kills, followed by the Belgian made P90 (which we featured in our Tools of the Trade video feature). He’s mostly an Engineer and Recon in comparison of the rest of classes.
AhmedAdel , our top player on the PC ladder from Egypt, is one of our oldest and best players on the leaderboards. Consistently placing top 5 in almost every round we've held, this scarred Battlefield veteran ever since Battlefield 2 is one mean fighting machine. Placed top in Egypt once again in this fifth round, he nailed 1st place in Egypt but also in the whole Middle East ladder with a hefty 7156 kills in Week 2. With 90 service stars in the Assault/Medic class, his weapon of choice is the M16A4 with a whopping 76,533 kills.
The top players from the UAE are Muhannad95 on the Console ladder and AmerXdubai on PC Muhannad95 topped our console ladder in Round 1, grabbing the 1st place, with 5731 kills. Last round Muhannad95 walked away with the 4th place, winning one of our best prizes, Sony’s newest handheld, a Playstation Vita. His class of choice is the Assault/Medic class and favorite weapon is the M16A4 with 13,962 kills followed by the M26 Mass and F2000.
AmerXDubai finished this round strong with 1636 kills in Week 2. His preferred class is the Assault/Medic class and as his compatriot, prefers to use the M16A4, with 25,301 kills, followed by the PKP Pecheneg and the M26 Mass.
From Jordan, anaslost is our winner on the Console ladder and xvsoldier on the PC one. anaslost finishing Week 1 with 4670 kills. Once again, we see another Assault/Medic class in our champion’s ranks, with his favorite weapon being the M4A1 with 6640 kills, and the AEK-971 and F2000 coming close behind.
xvsoldier on the other hand finished Week 1 with 1662 kills. This Assault/Medic class is more of a close quarter soldier, preferring shotguns as his top weapons, including the once overpowered USAS-12 with 10,923 kills, the AEK-972 and the fan favorite M16A4.
Our top players in Kuwait are rexmwi in the Console ladder and SteveQ8 in the PC. rexmwi totaled 2376 kills in Week 1. With only 53 hours played, this soldier gathered 1894 kills with the F2000.
SteveQ8 managed to gather 1892 kills in Week 1. Preferring the Assault/Medic class and of course the well-known M16A4 with 3280 kills, this Kuwaiti also has a soft spot for the AS VAL and the M40A5.
From Iraq, we have Revolver in the Console Ladder and HosTilezzz in the PC one. Revolver finished second in the overall ladder with 5479 kills in Week 3. Predominately an Assault/Medic player, his top weapon is the M1014 shotgun with 6175 kills followed by the M16A4 and M26 Mass, with a crazy 1.35 K/D ratio.
HosTilezzz finished 5th in the overall PC ladder with 4138 kills in Week 1. He prefers the Assault/Medic class with of course, the M16A4 as his top weapon with 4446 kills and the M40A5 falling in 2nd. With an impressive 920 SPM and a 1.81 K/D ratio, HosTilezzz is on the top of his game.
From Lebanon, we have ArkeologeN in the console ladder and madnod in the PC one. ArkeologeN is a long time member of At7addak, finished 1st in Lebanon with 1778 kills in Week 2. ArkeologeN has a pretty balanced class setup with 5 service stars in the Assault/Medic, Engineer and Support. His preferred weapon is the Close Quarter DLC L86A2 LMG with 1580 kills and a surprising number of Knife takedowns with 1110 kills.
madnod topping the Lebanese PC ladder with 1465 kills in Week 3, is probably the only one in the ladder who prefers the Support class with 16 service stars. The M249 is weapon of choice with 11,344 kills followed by the M16A4.
Finally from Bahrain, we have BoRsH on the console ladder and ShevCheNKo on the PC one. BoRsH finished Week 3 with 3120 kills. He has a pretty hefty amount of service stars, but his Assault/Medic class is the highest one with 19 service stars. His preferred weapon is the M16A4 with 2,844 kills and as our Lebanese console champion, ArkeologeN, a big number of Knife takedowns with 1470 kills.
ShevCheNKo finished Week 3 with 1046 kills. Preferring the Assault class and the M16A4 with 757 kills, he is also a good sniper with his trusty SV98, counting a heavy 727 kills.
