When it comes to Call of Duty Black Ops II, fans are waiting
for two specific things: Multiplayer and Zombie mode. After a long series of
singleplayer trailers, information about the campaign mode, revealing the
settings of the game, it is time now for Treyarch what they have been cooking
in the multiplayer oven.

As you most probably known, last night, the new Multiplayer
gameplay trailer for Call of Duty Black Ops II was unveiled. Between all the
gunshots, explosion and high tech machinery, there’s a lot of thing that were
caught by our team of Call of Duty experts and veteran players. So we decided
analyze this trailer, and show you some of the quick-to-miss new features in
the game and some of the obvious.
As the trailer start, we can have a general feel at how
loadouts will be handled: two weapons, each with an attachment, two equipment
pieces and three different perks. That looks pretty normal and non-updated, but
some of these new equipment are pretty sweet. The first one is a sort of
throwing pick, which stuns nearby enemies for an easy kill.

Another thing you might’ve missed in the beginning of this
trailer is that the used M8A1 assault rifle has selectable fire modes. This can
be seen on top of the bullet count on the lower right side, with most probably
full, semi and burst options.

Some new weapon attachments appeared, as you can see this PDW-57
with a new kind of sight, similar to red dot with a reticle, but emit a sort of
scanning wave, allowing you to see the enemy approaching behind walls, object
or smoke.

In the second part of the trailer, the class used by player BBitWallBanger is
also equipped with what looks like semtex grenades, EMP grenades or maybe
flashbangs/stuns. The beautiful part in this part of the trailer is that the
famous Dolphin Dive is coming back, as well as the Attack Dog killstreak from
the original Black Ops. Since it’s all about high-tech, could the dogs be
cyborgs? Nah, just kidding.

In Runz4FunzNGunz’s part of the trailer, you can see the
LSAT LMG combined with an Acog and Red Dot Hybrid sight, meaning that
customizable reticles from the previous game is back. He uses only two perks
and attachments for the primary weapon, which kind of confirms the previously
rumored "Ten Point Allocation System" instead of
"Create-a-Class".

As Runz4FunzNGunz makes his way to the bridge, he uses a
deployable sonar/sound wave based turret, called the Guardian, which seems to
destroy the opponent’s eyesight to let you defend an objective. Killing with
the Guardian seems to award you with Guardian Suppress points, something close
to the suppressive fire ribbon in Battlefield 3.

The fourth part of the trailer is in the honor of Black Ops
II’s prized new drones, with player Flyswatter, using a customized Chicom CQB,
to take down the areal drones, called Dragonfire.
In the second part, you can
see how controlling a Drangonfire attack can be deadly (note the Red Barron
achievement award), but can also quickly get taken down by infantry fire, or a lock-on
launcher (FHJ-18 AA in the trailer).

Now who’s a fan of support-based tactics? Player
DollarsandCenturions uses the AN-94 with a grip and a new scope that that zooms
in a lot and target enemies easily, locking them as red squares on the
battlefield. Not really sure but seems like the secondary is the riot shield.

This player is tagging alongside two other, each equipped
with an advanced riot shield, which can be stuck in the ground, thus getting in
cover, and using the small opening in the shield to fend off enemies.

To answer to DollarsandCenturions’ attack, the enemy team
order a new type of killstreak, calling a helicopter that drops a powerful
motorized ground drone called the A.G.R. This drone is equipped with two crazy
looking mini-gun. Also interestingly, the player has the ability to leave drone
control, and come back to it at any time.

MostlyUseMeBlade’s part of the trailer is very interesting
for one main reason: there’s no primary weapon. The player is equipped with
solely a secondary revolver, called Raging Judge, and six different perks. The
combat knife is either a ballistic knife, or the rumored new perk which
gives you a knife as a main weapon.

Also, melee attack fanatics will be glad to know that
throwable tomahawks are coming back, with the ability to explode on contact.

Player T00BMonay is next, which is also a funny reference
for the YouTube channel known for their quickscoping clips and montages.
Another fun fact is that the player is actually Treyarch known developer David
Vonderhaar. His primary weapon is a .50 bolt action customized DSR 50 sniper
rifle with two unknown attachments.

The secondary is also a bolt action sniper rifle without a
scope called ballista. It also has 2 unknown attachments, but the beautiful
part about it is that it shows the ability to have normal iron sight equipped
and that golden camouflage seems to be back.

Finally ShotgunSark’s part of the trailer is all about
hardcore close quarter assault. His primary is the M1216 Automatic shotgun with
a laser sight, making it deadlier especially when you want to hip fire. There's
a piece of equipment that looks similar to a cell phone, but we have no idea
what it does.

There are also C4 explosives in the video, and they are improved
because they can be directly thrown like in the Modern Warfare series, instead
of the "Pull out then throw" action used in black ops. This allows
people to act faster using C4, tossing them to high areas, for a quick kill.

The trailer then ends with two very important pieces. The
first one is all about the aerial drones, which is obviously the crowned piece
of high-tech weaponry in Call of Duty Black Ops II. There’s also something very
interesting, which is the fact that many drones can be used at the same time,
and you can use a Kamikaze sort of attack with it.

The last part is the most important one for us over at
At7addak.com. Why? Because it shows how much Treyarch is investing into
e-Sports, bringing multiplayer action to a whole new level of competitive
gaming.

The biggest addition is the spectator mode, which can have
additional hud elements that would give basic information like the player name.
Could it be in the final product? Or is customized for the trailer? If it’s
not, then Call of Duty Black Ops II might start getting some love from the
e-Sports scene.

That’s all we have for you today, and we hope our analysis
was as detailed as you want it. In case we missed anything, make sure to drop

and Call of Duty veteran Nour “TripleXVision” Hassoun for his input in this
piece. Until next time, game on soldiers!
