Halo 4 will surely be the greatest sci-fi FPS of this year, especially when you talk about an Xbox 360 exclusive. So when the new enemies of the game - the Prometheans - are revealed in images, we are drooling over our keyboards as we write this piece. Want to meet the deadliest race of the Halo universe? Read on then.
The first of the basic Promethean troop soldier is the Crawler. These four-legged beasts move in pack, and rush their enemies with their trusty Boltshot. Think of them as the grunts of the Prometheans. Another type of Crawler is the Crawler snipe, which shoot from afar.
A strong Alpha Crawler will usually lead the basic Crawler pack. This beast can be recognized by its Hardlight spikes and their use of the Suppressor weapon.
Knights are the captains of the Promethean force, capable of calling for reinforcement at any time given, as well as singlehandedly defend himself with the help of Suppressor and LightRifle.
Knight Lancers will be the Promethean’s own scouts. Accurate at long range and can use Promethean Vision; this mighty soldier can track down enemies from behind walls and solid objects.
Knight Commanders are simple to understand. Packing a lot of power thanks to their Incineration Cannons, a stronger armor and the ability to deploy turrets, these deadly foes are the leaders of the Knight and Knight Lancer troops.
The elite soldier of the Promethean army will be the Knight Battlewagon. A tank on legs, this soldier will wear the strongest armor there is in the Promethean armory, as well the deadliest weapon in the game, the Scattershot.
Finally, the last soldier class of this alien race are giant robotic creatures that emerge from the back of a Knight. They can protect their holder, activate shields, summon Crawlers or even attack with his BoltShot.
