Treyarch is out to find the best players in the world. With their new League Play, you'll be able to see how you rank globally. We've already broken down the different leagues and features in Black Ops 2 League Play. Now, it's time to get specific. Were only four days away from the start of Season one.
In Black Ops 2's League Play, there are two different modes. Moshpit Series and the Champions Series. If you compete in both series, they each have different rankings. Your Moshpit rank won't be the same as your Champions rank.
Each of these playlist feature different formats and play styles depending on what you aim to perfect. Both series include all the maps in their rotation excluding Nuketown 2025 and both feature six distinct divisions. The Master, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Iron divisions each house players of different skill levels.

The Moshpit series features Team Deathmatch and objective game modes. The rules are the same as the ones you would play in public matches. The usual 6 v 6 game modes we've all grown accustomed to. The Moshpit series has a Solo rank. If you're a lone wolf like myself, playing in the Moshpit series will rank you based on your individual skill. Even if you do join with a partial team, you will still be ranked individually.
Here are the gametypes that will be featured in the Moshpit series are Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint and Capture the Flag. In the case of an overtime in Capture the Flag, the time it takes for the first flag to be captured will determine the duration of overtime. If the team who scored the first flag score again in overtime, they win.

The Champion Series is a little more serious. It encourages team play and hardcore teamwork in order to achieve success. The rules and gametypes are a little bit different than they are in the Moshpit series. It's 4 v 4 and it uses the same rules that are used in professional circuits. So it'll be a slight change from what your used to. The gametypes are Capture the Flag, Domination, Hardpoint and Search and Destroy.
The Champion series features a Team Rank that is based on the 4 people you have in your party. Enter the league play lobby and invite three other players to join your team. Once you have, you'll be prompted to select a team name and emblem. Remember, the team you create will be exclusive to only those four members. You cannot switch a member with another. Those same four players need to be available in order to play as your previously created team.

Your teams rank will be based wins and losses. You and your teammate's skill rating will have no effect on the overall team rank. So, naturally changing a player in a previously created team will change the skill rank of that team. So be sure to chose your teammates wisely, you'll be stuck with them until the end of the season.

Every week, a bonus pool will be awarded to the first few games of the week. Each season is one month long and everything will reset. At the start of a new season, you will have to play through five placement matches to determine your division all over again. Season one stars on December 1st, so start warming up and make sure you find some solid teammates.
