Season Two marked a great season for League of Legends, but the developers feel there is room for improvement. Their implementing huge changes to items, the jungle, masteries and summoner spells. This update is meant to provide players with more strategic and tactical options to help cater to their playstyle and create a larger roster of champions for every role.

A lot players complain about the item build's flexibility and usability. Riot games is adding plenty of new items and upgrade paths for your build. This will definitely help tailor your builds better to your playstyle. You can take a look at the full list of items and changes here.

They're also making some changes to the Jungle. In order to take off some pressure from early gameplay, they've added larger monsters to defeat in the camps which of course reap greater rewards. Riot games also plan on making some changes to the masteries. Specifically, the Utility tree masteries. They're adding more choices at each level of the tree, reducing the availability of early game resistance stats and changing up the summoner spell choices to make sure that each one of them is distinct from the other.
