It's hack and slash month in the industry. With DmC: Devil May Cry and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, our fingers have their work cut out for them. DmC: Devil May Cry proved to be great and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is looking just as good, if not better. Check out some of the combat below.
In a recent blog post by Platinum Games, the counter-attack system was discussed. Basically, it's all about timing. You basically direct your attack towards the enemy and unleash a weak attack. Timing is crucial, if done correctly your enemy should be knocked back and Raiden will automatically unleash an attack. It's then up to you to continue and chain it altogether in one big combo. Check out some footage below.
I can only imagine the number of buttons mashed together to unleash an attack like that. When the game freezes, Raiden has the chance to chop up the enemy into little tiny pieces, this will be a great way to let your anger out. The game also takes place in a lot of diverse locations, check out the video below.
And of course, Raiden wouldn't be without his suit. With multiple armors to chose from, we'll be slicing in style.
