The hugely popular show, The Walking Dead, has received a game of its own. It's not Telltale's popular arcade game, this is Activision's First Person Shooter called The Walking Dead: Survival Instincts. You can check out the new trailer here and below you'll find some gameplay footage from an earlier version of the game, which doesn't look too appealing.
The game follows two of my favorite characters in the hit show, Merle and Darryl Dixon. Best of all, the
actual actors from the show, Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker, will be voicing their in-game counterparts.

The game is just like the show, it's about survivng. In The Walking Dead: Survival Instincts, Merle and Darryl will not only plow down through herds of zombies but will also need to scavenge supplies and seek shelter. I'm hoping with all my heart that Activision actually pull this one off.

As a huge fan of the show, I've been eager to play a game just like the show. Telltale's adaptation is great but doesn't quite scratch that itch. The idea of scavenging supplies, looking for a shelter and mowing down zombies is really exciting.

The game will present you with hard choices to make, just like the show. You'll be meeting other survivors throughout the game who can join your crew, if you allow them. Your crew members can be sent out to run errands like fetching gas or food. You'll have the choice to either arm your crew member or send him out there with just his bare knuckles. Just like in the show, actions like firing a gun, running or making excess noise will result in even more walkers coming your way. I really hope this game turns out great. The Walking Dead: Survival Instincts will be released on March 19th on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U.
