You can now download and play community made maps.

Valve have just released a brand new update for their iconic FPS, Counter Strike: Global Offensive. The update includes two new gamemodes and the launch of the map workshop.

The two new gamemodes are Control and Rooftop Control. The former being similar to Domination in Call of Duty, where two teams fight for control over a multitude of different areas. You will spawn on the one of the flags your team controls.

The second gamemode is Rooftop Control. This one seems a little more interesting. It's almost the same as Control, where one team is supposed to capture and hold flags and the opposing team will be on the rooftops, armed with sniper rifles.

The Map Workshop is finally live. For all those of you like myself who have grown tired and exhausted from the current maps in CS:GO, you'll be glad to hear that now you can download and play in maps made by the community. Now, like any other game, I imagine the most popular and competitive maps will be placed in the online rotation. I sure do hope so.
