Recently, players found an exploit in Dead Space 3's upgrade system. The game feature micro-transactions that cost you real money but with this glitch, you won't have to pay a thing. Check it out below.
We all expected EA to quickly patch this glitch, especially because of the fact that upgrades in Dead Space 3 were just another cash portal for EA. Now that players found an exploit, ,” EA public relations representative Jino Talens
" The resource-earning mechanic in Dead Space 3 is not a glitch. We have no plans to issue a patch to change this aspect of the game. We encourage players to explore the game and discover the areas where resources respawn for free. We’ve deliberately designed Dead Space 3 to allow players to harvest resources by playing through the game. For those that wish to accumulate upgrades instantly, we have enabled an optional system for them to buy the resources at a minimal cost ($1-$3).”

This is probably just a PR stunt to turn this glitch around but regardless. EA could have easily patched this instantly but instead they chose not to and kept it to balance out the micro-transactions. Maybe there in some humanity in EA.
