Just like every other Assassin's Creed, AC4 got leaked. The trailer was leaked a day early but today is the official reveal. Ubisoft released the official press release revealing some of the game's features as well as some new screenshots and concept art.

We've established that the new protagonist, Edward Kenway, is the father of Haitham Kenway therefore making him the grandfather of Connor. Edward was a privateer for the Royal Navy before getting caught up with piracy. He later finds himself in between one of the biggest wars of all time, the Assassins vs. the Templars.

The game will feature some of the most infamous pirates in history like the iconic Blackbeard.

Because you are a pirate, you'll be traveling the seas aboard your trusty ship, which is fully customizable and upgradable. Allowing you to travel to areas of higher danger, once you've upgraded. The gameplay will focus heavily on easy transitioning between land and ship with ultimately no loading times. A seamless open-world.

You'll be able to harpoon whales, search for hidden treasure, raid another ship, make a crew and much more. AC3 was filled with features but some didn't really flow with the overall game. In AC4, it will claims Ubisoft

With over 50 locations spread throughout the islands like Havana, Cuba, Nassau, The Bahamas, Kingston and Jamaica. You'll have a multitude of different things to do. The developers are focusing more on creating more diverse and alive cities. The hustle and bustle of the city will further immerse the player in the story, which I think is one of the most important aspects of a game.
